More inspirations ….

One of the best ways to find words of wisdom & inspiration is through the music & songs that people give us. Words, music & the skills of the singer can lift us out of our ordinary cares, if only for a moment, & remind us that beauty is all around if we just take the time to notice it. I was picking my Top Ten Inspiring Tunes recently & came up with the following (with thanks to YouTube):

ANGELS Enya

CANT KEEP IT IN Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam

ANGELS Robbie Williams

THE ROSE Bette Midler

I BELIEVE IN ANGELS Abba

HALLELUJHA Rufus Wainright

LEAN ON ME Red Box

MAKE ME A CHANNEL OF YOUR PEACE Sinead O’ConnorĀ  (I call this one The Medium’s Prayer)

AMAZING GRACE Judy Collins & Choir

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW Israel Kamakawiwo’ole

NO MATTER WHAT Boyzone

THE MISSION Ennio Morricone

LA PETITE FILLE DE MER Vangelis

LIFE IS FOR LIVING Barclay James HarvestĀ  (for my Mum)

You might have noticed that there are more than 10 Inspirations here! It’s just that I’ve found it hard to stop at the first ten that came to mind. There is so much beautiful music in the world that these suggestions only scratch the surface. Please enjoy them & let me know what you top ten would be.

    Here’s mine:
Knowing Me Knowing You, Abba – the first single I ever bought, pure nostalgia!
Old Before I Die, Robbie Williams – some great lines!
Spirit in the Sky – Gareth Gates and the Kumars!
When the Going Gets Tough – Boyzone. The line ‘I’ve got something to tell you, I’ve got something to say’ was in my head after the Awakening to Mediumship Workshop. It was my grandfather celebrating the fact he had finally got through to me, and was a really life changing moment for me.
Anything and everything by Krishna Dass – the music of Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of Devotion, also known as the Yoga of the Heart. Some of the most joyful uplifting music in the universe.
