Got to get my skates on today as it’s been very hectic & not over yet. We are having the pleasure of a dozen or so children to the house for my daughter’s birthday party on Sunday so I’m trying to bake, wrap presents & work out if a pinata (pinyata – I can’t find the symbol for the accent) is a good idea for excitable kids. Hmmm. Also getting sorted with all the events I’m running or appearing in so I don’t get my diary mixed up. More details on the Events page.

I’ve been trying to catch up with friends – who are really very patient with me being slow to return calls & emails – as well as the social networks, Twitter &  Facebook. And, of course, up date the site. So the day has almost disappeared before I’ve got to the blog (still not sorted how to get comments on the posts but will do … I hope)

Also going to Sowerby Bridge Spiritualist Church Open Circle tonight. This is a nice way to take part in people sharing their own mediumship development as anyone can go & if they feel they have a message or anything from Spirit they give it out. Will try to post later to explain more.

Discovered a new problem with the site. Don’t seem to be able to get it to accept comments to posts. AAAAaaaaarrrrgggghhhhhh! I promise it will all run smoothly one day. Trying to solve the issue (do tekkies ever write anything for IT challenged people like me in plain English & baby steps? If so, where?). And I’m struggling with Facebook too. Time for a cuppa (if only there was some gin in the house – loads of tonic & ice but NO gin ).

Not everyone is sure of what happens inside a Spiritualist church. So people sometimes miss a good opportunity to see mediums working. I’ve been to Oldham Spiritualist Church tonight & enjoyed a lovely service where Pauline Montgomery gave evidence of survival after death (that is, told people things she could not have known about them & their relatives) & passed on messages from Spirit. Mediums up & down the country do this week in, week out (me too) so that anyone who wants can come along & see if there is someone in Spirit who wants to give them a message.

Some churches have services just for messages where there might be a hymn or two. Most churches have Divine Service at least once a week & this has hymns, prayers & a talk (sort of sermon). Even if you are not a church goer the services are open to all & you don’t have to be a Spiritualist to go there. If you want to find out where churches are you can check at www.snu.org.uk or www.thespiritualist.org for the ones nearest to you. There are also independant churches so a google search is a good way to find them too.

Just a quick point: as the message is for the person getting it the medium who gives that message usually forgets it afterwards. Otherwise our heads might be crammed with too much info & burst (only joking). But carrying all those messages & remebering every single detail would be hard work. When you remind a medium that you got something in a message from them we can sometimes ‘pull’ the info back with the help of our Spirit friends but please don’t be offended if we look or sound a little bit blank at first.

Had a lovely weekend at the Wolfstone Camp in Lancashire & met some very friendly folk. This was a very relaxing Beltane celebration with a lot of light & laughter all around. The weather was a bit changable & Friday night we had to put the tent up in a gale but the sun shone for most of the time & despite the rain not all that much mud. Thanks are due to Maggie of the Silver Moon shop, Mobay & Wolfstone Moots and all those dedicated people who gave up time to organise such a lovey event.

Back home & it’s been a busy morning as I’m appearing again at the end of the week in my new show ‘One Psychic Medium: Many Spirits’ at Todmorden Cricket Club. I had to confirm with the venue (a lovely, welcoming place – so thanks to them) and get the newspaper ads placed for the rest of this week.

Sarah at the Halifax Courier was super in getting back to me about my email so that was all done quickly.

I’m also putting together the advertising material for events in July, August & September (I haven’t forgotten June either but most of that is done). It’s always a bit of a guess as to what will attract attention to the shows & events & I get different feedback. So often I just send it up to Spirit to get them to help me sort out the best way to communicate what is happening & mostly that works!

I’m still getting used to Twitter & Facebook as ways of keeping in touch. I’m also on several Ning networks. The only downside of all this technology is lots of email to tell me when stuff has been updated. I know I can restrict the emails but I’m so nosy I want to know what is happening on all the sites all of the time. Lol!

Going to Oldham Spiritualist Curch tonight for a service by Pauline Montgomery. It is always good to visit churches & meet new people. It’s also nice to go to new places because it is an opportunity to learn from others.

Ta! Da! At last I have managed to get rid of an old post that was ‘stuck’ at the top of this page. I think Spirit must have sent me someone who knows about HTML

Had a bit of a busy day. Yesterday I booked another evening of mediumship (at The Courtyard, Halifax on 4th June) & tonight at 8pm I’m at Kershaw House Inn, Luddenden, Halifax with 2 good friends of mine – Christine Carter & Jackie Fawcett. We are hoping to have an entertaining evening bringing through evidence of survival after death & spirit messages for the audience. Chris, the owner, always makes us feel welcome to his 13th centuary mannor house. It’s also very atmospheric & there are a number of Spirits in the building who keep a close eye on everything we do. We will be back at Kershaw House in June too, so lots of publicity to organise today.

I’m also trying to gather myself for a weekend event at Gibraltar Farm, Silverdale, Lancs. We are taking our stock of crystals & the gazzebo (just in case) to join in the fun of a Medieval Day this Saturday. We are going to be in costume & I’m also hoping to offer card or Spirit readings. My dear friend Julie would have had me all sorted out at the begining of the week but I’m such a ‘last minute’ -er that I think she’s given up!

Ooops! Now typing with one finger as the ice-cream van has been round & my daughter persuaded me to have an ice-cream too. It’s lovely doing something really spontaneous every now & then.

Still trying to remove an old bit of a page that seems to have got stuck on my blog page. I found out today, through a very helpful network administrator on Ning how to do RSS feeds but still not quite cracked it for the web site. LOL!

Went to Hebden Bridge Spiritualist Church on Sunday & shared a service at Bankfoot Spiritualist Church, Bradford in the evening with a lovely medium called Sioux Lowe. Had a relaxing Bank Holiday Monday at a school Summer Fayre (& it didn’t rain until after we all went home). Tuesday back to work sorting out arrangements for up coming events. Today I’ve had a Home Circle & joined Facebook & Twitter (my friend Maura told me they were easy to use … hmmm. I’m waiting for someone to make me a friend or follow me so I can see if I can manage. If only the Spirit World was on Twitter/Facebook as I always get a connection with them. LOL!

Another quick update! I’m doing a service at Ashton Spiritualist Church, Burlington St, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancs at 7.45 pm on Saturday 2nd May. It’s a lovely church & if you can get there you are assured of a warm welcome.

I can’t believe that we are a third of the way through 2009! And I’m still tweeking the web site as I learn more about HTML than I thought I would ever want to.

Today I’ve been updating the look of the site & trying to understand how to change the code to get the pages to do what I want. Just the kind of thing I could use some Spirit help with as I’m a novice at the technical stuff – but Spirit are keeping very quiet. Perhaps there isn’t a guide readily available with the technical knowledge? LOL!

They have been with me very much tho when I’ve been working this week. I’m busy planning & organising events for May, June & July and it’s lovely that the people I need are being placed in front of me so I can get things done. I’ve also had a lot of mediumship work as I had my regular Mediumship @ Milans evening (working with Paul Hunt) and a Trance Circle.

I also went to Hebden Bridge Spiritualist Church for their regular monthly Open Circle. Lots of Spiritualist Churches hold Open Circles & these are a good way for anyone interested in finding out about mediumship & spiritualism to see people working & giving messages from Spirit. I believe we are all able to have our own mediumship link to Spirit & going to an Open Circle can support you in finding out about your own abilities. Some churches also offer Awareness or Development classes for anyone who wants to explore & develop their own abilities. If you get chance check out what is available in your area.

This weekend I’ll be running one of my development workshops. I have a lovely bunch of people who are getting their mediumship link in place & it’s always exciting when people find they can also receive clear & supportive Spirit guidance directly. I love when the angels & guides come around these groups as our energy is always uplifted & we are always given hope for the continuing progression of the human race.

The I get a day off for the (UK) May Day Bank Holiday. Wherever you are & whatever you are doing, have a lovely weekend.
